Browser Extension — Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data the G100 browser extension ("the Extension") accesses and how it is used. It supplements our main Privacy Policy. The Extension is published by G100 LLC ("G100", "we", "us") and is a companion to your G100 account — it lets you make calls, read the SMS & OTP codes received on your G100 number, and manage your number, directly from your browser.

1. Single purpose

The Extension has a single purpose: to give G100 customers quick access to their own business-number calling and SMS features from the browser toolbar. It is not an advertising, tracking, or data-collection product.

2. What the Extension accesses

• Your G100 sign-in — when you log in inside the Extension, your email and password are sent only to G100's own servers (api.g100.us) to authenticate you. We never see or store them in plain text. A short-lived access token is stored locally in your browser (via chrome.storage) so you stay signed in.
• Received SMS & OTP codes — the Extension reads the text messages received on your own G100 number so it can show them (and detect verification codes) in the inbox tab. This data is fetched from your G100 account only when you open the inbox.
• Your phone numbers & wallet balance — read from your account to show which number you're calling from and your balance.
• Microphone — accessed only during an active call, so you can speak. Audio is streamed in real time to place the call and is not recorded or stored by the Extension.
• Numbers you dial — used only to place your call through G100's calling platform.

3. How the data is used

All data accessed by the Extension is used solely to provide the features you request — signing you in, placing calls, and showing your messages, numbers and balance. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with third parties except the infrastructure needed to deliver the service (our telephony provider for connecting calls and SMS, and standard hosting), or where required by law.

4. Where data is stored

The Extension stores only your access token and small preferences (such as your chosen "call from" number and recent numbers) locally in your browser. It contains no analytics or third-party tracking. Your account data (messages, numbers, billing) lives in your G100 account and is governed by our main Privacy Policy.

5. Permissions we request & why

• storage — to keep you signed in and remember your preferences.
• contextMenus — to add a "Call with G100" option when you right-click a phone number.
• Host access to app.g100.us — to securely connect the Extension to your logged-in G100 session.
• Host access to api.g100.us — to load your messages, numbers and balance, and to place calls.
• Microphone — requested by your browser only when you start a call.

6. Limited Use disclosure

G100's use of information received from the Extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically: we only collect and use the data required to provide the Extension's single purpose; we do not sell this data; we do not use or transfer it for serving advertisements; and we do not use or transfer it for any purpose unrelated to providing the Extension's features, except as necessary to operate the service or comply with the law.

7. Your rights

You can sign out at any time (which clears the stored token), remove the Extension, and request access to or deletion of your account data by emailing [email protected].

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted here with a new date.
