You<\/a><\/li><\/ul><\/nav><\/div>\n<p>To the average consumer, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/PNY_Technologies\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PNY<\/a> probably doesn\u2019t ring much of a bell \u2014 despite the fact that this company was founded nearly four <em>decades<\/em> ago and has been making graphics cards for what feels like an <em>eternity<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Still, <em>most<\/em> people, despite not being tightly acquainted with its offerings, have at least <em>heard<\/em> of PNY or have, at a minimum, <em>seen<\/em> one of its graphics cards on the shelves at their local hardware shops.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PNY simply isn\u2019t as well known as the MSIs, GIGABYTEs, and <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/g100.us\/is-evga-a-good-gpu-brand\/\"><strong>EVGAs<\/strong><\/a><strong> of the world.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s no other way to put it. Does that lack of mainstream appeal mean that its GPUs should be avoided, though? What\u2019s at the crux of the issue, anyway? They <em>need<\/em> to conjure up the most jaw-dropping designs, to push the very boundaries of the dies which NVIDIA and AMD give them, to equip their GPUs with the best and most intricate cooling assemblies, shrouds, and so on and so forth.<\/p>\n<p>They\u2019re trying their absolute hardest to stand out from the crowd \u2014 be it in performance, design, acoustics, or sheer value.<\/p>\n<p>PNY, on the other hand, is seemingly content with both its current position in the market <em>and <\/em>its tight liaison with NVIDIA.<\/p>\n<p>It, too, competes in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pny.com\/consumer\/view-all-products\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">consumer segment<\/a> of the market, but generating an insane amount of revenue through <em>this<\/em> channel specifically obviously isn\u2019t as big a need for <em>them<\/em> as it is for most of their competitors; <strong>all other AIBs, on the other hand, can only compete for the money of the gaming populace (and any creative professional who doesn\u2019t want to spend an otherworldly sum on a \u201cpro-grade\u201d GPU).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The overall <em>aesthetic<\/em> of a PNY graphics card <em>also<\/em> leaves a bit to be desired.<\/strong> They\u2019re bog-standard when it comes to design, with no overly impressive shrouds or over-the-top RGB.<\/p>\n<p>They\u2019re tame visually and, as such, don\u2019t really cater to any audience in particular. PNY\u2019s offerings may well be more affordable at <em>your <\/em>local retailers.<\/p>\n<p>Its OEM-looking VERTO line of graphics cards mostly adheres to official MSRP pricing. The \u201cgaming-focused\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pny.com\/consumer\/view-all-products\/geforce-graphics\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">XLR8 line<\/a>, on the other hand, tends to sell at a <em>slight <\/em>premium. <strong>But, again, these things change all the time, so by no means should you take that statement as gospel.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All in all, you most likely won\u2019t be disappointed in any which way should you opt to invest in one of PNY\u2019s latest graphics cards \u2014 the RTX 30 and <a href=\"https:\/\/g100.us\/rtx-4080-review-content-creation\/\">40 series<\/a>, in particular.
