Hello
new here & have a question. I needed to replace my hdd on my asus laptop & while I have the case open, figured I'd upgrade the ram as well.
While booted into an os, I've always known this laptop having 16gb ram & now that I have access to the module, I see that it's only a single-channel 8gb ram module. I glanced over the mb ICs to see if any look like embedded memory chips, but nothing stands out.
Anybody know about the ASUS Q525UA-BI7T9 laptop series? Does the processor make use of virtual pages to provide the extra ram or is there some other new technology that I don't know of yet?
Thanks in advanced!
